Founded in 1998, Shanghai Austar Lighting Electrical Industry Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise integrating scientific and technological development, production and manufacturing, product sales, engineering project design, traffic lighting engineering, construction, and installation.
Our company's Enterprise Technology Centre has been officially recognised as a "Pudong New Area Enterprise Research & Development Institution". It hosts a state-of-the-art optical and electrical testing laboratory, fully equipped to conduct comprehensive technical performance evaluations for an extensive range of signal infrastructure products and LED lighting fixtures. The centre possesses solid research facilities and capabilities to develop innovative solutions across diverse domains: commercial LED lighting, indoor/outdoor LED illumination products, countdown traffic signals, LED display technology, optical lenses for traffic signals, intelligent traffic enforcement systems (electronic police), and semiconductor lighting technologies.
We place strong emphasis on cultivating and safeguarding independent intellectual property (IP), holding 7 national invention patents, 9 utility model patents, and 1 design patent. Multiple products have been certified as Shanghai High-Tech Achievement Transformation Projects, underscoring their technological sophistication and market readiness. Significantly, we authored the General Requirements for LED Lane Indicator Signs in Variable Lanes—now adopted as a local standard in Shanghai—and our Luminous Floor Tiles Specification serves as a group standard for the Shanghai Municipal Highway Industry Association, reflecting our contribution to shaping industry norms.
